Women in a Home Office is currently seeking talented Chapter Directors in communities right across Canada. You must have a home-based business and exhibit superior leadership skills and organizational skills.
Being a Chapter Director is a very rewarding experience. The energy created by these groups is infectious! However, that being said, we are interested in quality of chapters, not quantity of chapters!
The process of becoming a Chapter Director takes about 3-6 months and involves several interviews via face-to face and/or phone, a questionnaire, a non-disclosure agreement, more discussion, the sharing of the operating manual, financials and finally, the signing of the legal agreement.
The steps are something like this:
- Candidate sends profile/resume
- Candidate fills out questionnaire
- Candidate signs non-disclosure agreement (NDA)
- Candidate and Head Office (HO) discuss Operating Manual
- Candidate signs agreement
- HO promotes organization in local media
- Once 25-30 interested subscribers are attained, a monthly meeting is scheduled.
Responsibility of Chapter Director:
- Seek and secure meeting location.
- Schedule 10-11 monthly meetings with speakers
- Conduct 1 Education Day and 1-2 small Trade Shows per year.
- Promote, sell ad space and distribute The Limelight Quarterly newsletter in the local community (4X per year)
- Promote Women in a Home Office in the local community.
- Act as local contact for the organization.
Our goal is to set up chapters in dynamic communities across Canada where home-based businesses flourish. If you are interested in supporting your home-based business with another source of income, which supports women in business in your community, contact info@womeninahomeoffice.com.
